About Us

Being a private maths tutor

Raised in Brisbane, Australia to Italian parents, it may surprise you to know that English was not my first language. In fact, I had to re-sit my first year at primary school. I then went to secondary school and was fortunate to have a truly inspirational Maths Teacher who helped me enormously throughout my secondary years.

After graduating from secondary school, I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a specialization in mathematics. My passion for teaching led me to further my education by obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching from Sydney University. Following my academic pursuits, I embarked on a period of travel, taking the opportunity to visit relatives in Italy. Additionally, I aimed to explore work opportunities in the UK during this enriching journey.

I started teaching in London, Bristol and Cornwall for teaching agencies and enjoyed the experience immensely. After five years or so I decided to go into tutoring as I found teaching 1:1 as the best way for having a complete understanding of the teaching and learning environment. One-to-One maths tutoring approach can provide training tailored to fit precisely with particular goals, needs and skills.
School classes of thirty students was too over powering and find that one to one tutoring is more user friendly and can cater for every students needs and most importantly learn at their own pace.
I’d never been happier in my work than when I am tutoring, the most enjoyable and satisfying role I could imagine doing.
And so began the journey from Teacher to Tutor in Truro, Cornwall. I get lots of feedback from parents and from students about how much they enjoy working with me and how learning has been fun and rewarding. One of the most consistent elements to the feedback I receive is that my students develop in confidence, which carries beyond academia to other areas of life.
